March Market Weekend
Bowhouse Markets return in March with the first of 2019 taking place on Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th.
The first market of the year will be a celebration of spring, with a New Beginnings theme to usher in the warmer climes. Charity partner Marie Curie will be inspiring budding gardeners with a host of spring-themed activities, including daffodil planting, that the whole family can get involved with. The Bowhouse team will also be on hand running seed and planting workshops, the first of a series of drop-ins to run throughout 2019. And in case there’s still a touch of frost, Marie Curie will be raising funds by selling delicious homemade soup.
The main hall of Bowhouse will be lined with fresh, seasonal food and drink from across Scotland, as well as stalls from some of Bowhouse’s resident producers. Visitors in March can expect micro greens and edible flowers from The Wright Root, Woodmill Game, East Coast Cured, and wood-fired sourdough from the Wild Hearth Bakery.
The covered market will also host a number of street food vendors, with hot and cold treats from Middle East Street Feast, The Cheesy Toast Shack, Scottish game from Screaming Peacock, and wild crafted beverages from Out-there Artisan. To accompany those visitors tucking in, there will be a line-up of musical talent of local artists.
